This image has a special place in my heart. It’s the road where I first learned how to ride my bike in Lynn Valley, North Vancouver. I still remember not braking enough and speeding straight into the ditch (multiple times). Like many North Vancouver locals, this forest is like a second home. A place to get exercise, meet friends, go hiking, and more.

One day when it was foggy, I decided to bring my camera with me and take a few shots. It was a view I had seen hundreds of times before so didn’t think much of what I got but once I shared it online, it went viral and was seen by millions. The windy road in the fog entranced people, they felt connected to the lone biker heading to the unknown.
