I vividly remember the time that I was close to drifting asleep in a blind while waiting for Parakeets to come down from the trees above. Suddenly, a ghost of the jungle slowly made its way out of hiding into the wide-open clay lick I was sitting directly in front of. Usually all that’s ever seen of Jaguars is their prints so this was an incredible first encounter. This magical and lucky moment in the Amazon is one I’ll always remember as one of my favorite experiences in nature.
