In 2019, I spent three days renting a small boat on a lake in central British Columbia with the hopes of photographing Loons with their young. This is the only print I've added from that trip to my print store. Every morning, I'd wake up before dawn and shoot until dusk trying to get photos of these iconic Canadian birds. Just like many people across the country, Loons hold a special place in my heart. Their mystical and eerie calls remind me of time spent as a kid at my grandparent's cabin in Quebec.

Unlike many other animals, male and female loons build nests together and raise their chicks equally. This could be the perfect gift for a parent in your life!
